Mode of Exam:

Subjects, Sections & No. of Question
- The NEET question paper comprises three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Biology is further divided into two parts: Botany and Zoology.
- There are a total of 180 questions in NEET.
- Physics and Chemistry sections each have 45 questions.
- Biology section comprises 90 questions, with 45 questions from Botany and 45 from Zoology.
- Each correct answer is awarded four marks.
- An incorrect answer results in a deduction of one mark (negative marking).

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit:
- The minimum age for candidates appearing in NEET UG is 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year.
- There is no upper age limit for NEET UG.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
- The qualifying examination should be recognized by the respective boards or authorities.
- General category candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology in the qualifying examination.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) must have a minimum aggregate of 40% marks.
- For PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates in the General category, the minimum aggregate is 45%.
